Mission Statement

Global Music Evangelism exists to partner musicians with evangelists, churches and missionaries to further the gospel of Jesus Christ through Music.

History

The heart of the ministry was birthed in April of 1999. President and Founder Jeramy Burchett began working with the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association as a drummer. He was asked to participate in a crusade in Augusta and Bangor Maine in conjunction with an outreach in the region. The Palau team was struggling to find top quality musicians to lead worship and special music for the events so they called on Jeramy to help with the search. Jeramy, having been involved in the music seen in Portland, Oregon and Nashville, Tennessee knew many talented and godly musicians who would love to serve through music evangelism. Jeramy assembled many of the team members for the outreach and thus began the networking of musicians for various events.

Over the course of the next few years Jeramy was approached by Evangelists, Churches and Missionaries who desired to assemble music and worship teams for their evangelistic outreaches. In 2000 Jeramy’s home church planned a missions trip to Brasil. After returning from this mission, Jeramy’s call to music evangelism and his role in networking musicians and evangelistic ministries was solidified. The vision for Global Music Evangelism began. The first outreach was with Jose Zayas in Madurai, India. Since then Global Music Evangelism has helped assemble teams for outreaches in Uganda, Brasil, Estonia, Moldova, Belgium, England, Panama, and the USA.
